Skills, Knowledge and Self-Cultivation

"Back to School"

As discussed on Patty Mack's Lifestyles
talk show CFAX 1070 - August 21, 2010

The Skills, Knowledge and Self-Cultivation gua holds the energy (ch'i) for:

  • inner wisdom
  • higher thought
  • self-cultivation
  • meditation, and
  • all the other wonderful things associated with knowing and learning
This gua can be found in the lower, left-hand corner of the Bagua map and the colour associated with it, is blue.

It's a very important area to work on, as it can so easily affect the other guas. Work on this gua if you're:

  • looking for love, the skills and knowledge gua can help you know how to go about attracting the appropriate person;
  • If you want more money, this gua can give you the wisdom to see new opportunities for income, saving, and the inner feeling of having abundance.

NEED HELP SITUATIONS
Some situations when you would enhance the Skills and Knowledge Gua:

  • When you want to gain wisdom.
  • When you want to get better grades in school.
  • When you want to make better or clearer decisions for yourself.
  • When you want to be a better businessperson.
  • When you want to have better relationships.

These are all areas where we can use a little wisdom!

STEP 1 - GET CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT

  • What's most important right now?
  • Better grades?
  • Deciding on a study major?
  • Connecting with influential people in your field?
  • Skills relating to your business?

Write it down! In my book - What You See is What You Get - I explain how to do the Focused writing exercise that will help you with this process.

STEP 2 - IMAGES TO PLACE ON YOUR BAGUA BOARD

  • Things that remind you of wisdom.
  • Grad cap and gown.
  • If you're going back to college, write your major on a piece of paper and stick it on you BVB (use blue ink).
  • Open door - opportunities.
  • Books.
  • Light fixtures to represent illumination.
  • Food ever heard the term food for thought?
  • Razors or tacks. The phrases razor sharp mind or sharp as a tack come to mind.
  • Mentors you admire for their wisdom Einstein a family member.
  • Religious symbols Jesus or saints. Some people use a Buddha to remind them to always see the lesson in everything they do.

Use what works for you.

When you place your images or text on your Bagua Vision Board, imagine yourself achieving those goals and desires. Make the experience multi-sensory - feel, see, hear, smell, taste.

STEP 3 CREATE AND LIVE THE OUTCOME IN YOUR IMAGINATION

Now, every time you look at your Bagua Vision Board, relive the story and know that you have already received it, because you have created it in the realm of the unseen. It is only a matter of time before you experience it in this realm!

Bright blessings.
